Morning nanny needed from Mid April for a family with one child age 2 years x 4 mornings per week

Lovely family based in Hartley Wintney with one child age 2 years seek a morning only nanny housekeeper.  The mornings needed are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7.00am – 10.00am  and the nanny/housekeeper will be paid £50.00 per morning.

(There could be a degree of flexibility with timings for example if the person wants  to do two hours on one day and four the next)

The duties of the nanny/housekeeper will be to arrive on time each morning allowing the parents to leave for work and taking over care of their daughter. This will include overseeing her breakfast and getting her ready for nursery.

The nanny/housekeeper will need to help the little girl get dressed and help with teeth brushing, face washing and hair, so she is prepared calmly for nursery. The nanny will be required to then drive the little girl to nursery, which is a short drive away,  for drop off at around 8.00am.  

Once she is in the care of the nursery, the nanny/housekeeper can return to the house and do some light housework and nanny duties, including clearing up from breakfast, washing the dishes, tidying up toys and books that may need to be cleared away. There will be time to run the hoover round and give the kitchen floor a sweep and, if needed, a mop too. Wipe bathroom sink upstairs and hang up any face cloth or towels to dry.

The nanny/housekeeper can continue upstairs with making the child’s bed and tidying up her bedroom.  Her toys and clothes may need some attention and can be put away or put in the laundry basket. Help will also be needed with unloading any clean laundry from the washing machine and getting it hung out to dry.  

If needed, there may be a requirement for the nanny/housekeeper to help with local errands, such as picking up dry cleaning from the village high street which is easily walkable or a few minutes’ drive, or unpacking an online shop.

The role runs all year round apart from Christmas when the nursery will close for the Christmas period. The nanny/housekeeper will be employed by the family and a contract will be issued. 

The ideal nanny/HK will be an excellent timekeeper with good organisational and communications skills, self- motivated, engaging, with a sense of fun and genuine love for preschool children.  The role is a long term one and the family are looking for someone who is looking for a similar commitment.  This role will suit a nanny who wants to work with 2 families and already has or is seeking an afternoon role.

Additional hours may occasionally be available if the right candidate has flexibility.

• The nanny/housekeeper will need to have their own car and be able to arrive independently and on time.
• A clean and clear DBS or CRB is required.
• Excellent references from previous employers are essential.
• Available for a mid-April start.
