Experienced Live In Housekeeper needed ASAP - must be child and dog friendly.

Experienced child friendly Live In housekeeper/cleaner/cook needed near Dorking within a busy home for a professional family with 3 school age children.  Must be dog friendly and able to cook good family food and be self- motivated and able to work independently. Immediate start.

Housekeeping duties only – no childcare. driver helpful but not essential

The working week is 5 days Monday to Friday

Hours 7.00am – 7.00pm with a scheduled 2 hour break for the housekeeper to do her own things and have some downtime.

Duties will include :

Full family laundry and managing seasonal wardrobe changeovers.

Bed linen change overs and managing the family linen cupboard.

Managing the kitchen and keeping on top of groceries and supplies.

Keeping kitchen presentable and surfaces clean and clear of debris

Loading and unloading the dishwasher

Keeping communal areas clean and tidy

Cleaning all bathrooms , cloakrooms and keeping towels refreshed and soaps and tissues topped up.

Keeping the property looking at its best.

Managing recycling , rubbish bins and waste paper baskets.

Cooking the family evening meals which can be followed from a  recipe.

Managing the children’s school uniforms and sports kits.

Plumping cushions and keeping any throws or soft furnishings presentable.

Attention to detail is needed to prevent the build- up of dust. Removal of any cobwebs, finger prints and grease on mirrors and glass wear.

Keeping on top of post and parcels – being present to sign for any home deliveries.

Be willing and happy to engage with the children and be part of their home life.

This is a lovely role with a professional family who are looking for a long term arrangement with an experienced housekeeper who is hardworking, trustworthy, a good cook and family friendly.

The ideal person will be experienced with housekeeping within a large property, have a good eye for detail, be well organised and able to manage their time and tasks within the allocated time. They will need to be able to work without direction or micro management and will be expected to run the household seamlessly. The family are looking for a happy and engaging person who enjoys their role and wants to be part of a busy modern family.

Due to location a car owner/driver would be beneficial however, there is no driving within the role.

The property is situated on a 10 acre country estate and the housekeeper will have their own brand new 2 bed cottage to live in.
