Experienced Full time Live in nanny/mother’s help needed in Eton asap – can also be live out for a local candidate living less than a 25 minute drive.

The family are looking to offer full time employment to a nanny /mother’s help who is seeking a long term role working with a busy household where they are 5 month old twins and 2 children who are at school locally.

The role is  split into term time hours and school holiday hours to provide the nanny with a good work life balance.

Term time Hours: Monday  Tuesday  Thursday and  Friday  7.00am – 7.00pm .   Saturday 8am – 4.00pm Wednesday can be  taken as a day off.

In school holidays the daily hours will be reduced and the role will become 4 full days between Monday and Friday – 8.00am - 6.00pm 

the additional day off can be flexible and arranged in advance.

The salary will be annualised so that the nanny is paid the same each month/week.  A willingness to travel with the family twice a year would be appreciated.

The role will be as a nanny and support to the mum who needs a team player to be on hand to help with the babies and children – crucial times of day and first thing in the morning and after school when things are at their most hectic. Due to the ages of the children a team player is essential and the mother and nanny need to build a working partnership and support each other – the family need somebody who can work without direction , be able to plan ahead and organise school bags, nappy bags, sports kits , library books and make sure everything they need for the day is to hand with the early morning being the rime when this type of organisation is needed most.

Also at the end of the school day the nanny will be needed to collect the children ( car provided for working purposes ) and bring them home for the afternoon and end of day routine. The older children will be able to play and have some down time as well as engaging in school work and reading.  Good time keeping for tea and end of day routine is crucial so the children have continuity and are able to enjoy their family time together with minimal stress or fuss. This time of day is another where good team work and communication between the nanny and mother is really important.

The family are very relaxed but need somebody who can really help with the babies once the older children are at school – twins experience is not essential however, young baby experience is important  - twin baby experience would be a bonus.

A genuine love of babies and toddlers is also very important and the family are looking for someone who is confident and capable with having one or both on their own and also needing to be flexible with older children and babies as needed.

There is some housekeeping but all nursery duties- there is a housekeeper who will do the heavy cleaning and bed linen changeovers but the nanny/MH will be required to assist with the children’s clothes, toys , bedrooms and play areas keeping them clean and tidy and well organised. Sorting out school kits ,uniforms, snacks and book bags will also be their responsibility.

Keeping an eye of things like babywipes, nappies and nappy bags and adding to the groceries list and being able to help with local errands or topping up on essential items that are running low when needed.

This is a lovely family and they are open to live in or daily however a daily candidate would need to live very locally as a 7.00am start time must be met due to the children’s schedules and getting them up and out of the door while Mum is busy with the babies.

The family are offering the top floor of the house which has its own front door ( lockable ) with bedroom, bathroom and sitting area all furnished. There is also a car to drive while on duty.

There is also an opportunity to travel when the family go away on holiday however it is not essential the nanny/MH goes too, they would however be needed to take some annual leave at the same time.

The ideal candidate will be :

Available for a quick start

Be a car owner/driver

Have a DBS in place

Non smoker/vaper

Have excellent references from previous families with either a baby and older child /children

First aid certificate in place

Be happy, well organised and a team player with good communication skills and willing to bend and flex within the role providing the right level of support as well as some sole charge and shared care over each day. must be willing to engage with all the children and not be just focused on the babies or older children – play and routine are of equal importance.

They are a lovely family who are nanny friendly and looking for a long term commitment with someone who becomes part of the family.

They are offering a salary upwards of £550.00 npw for the right candidate.
