Experienced child friendly housekeeper needed in Guildford 25 hours per week with additional hours available.
Hours are roughly 2.30-7.30pm Monday to Friday
The role is mostly housekeeping with some childcare support needed after school. The mother works part time so needs the housekeeper to be flexible to pick up the children from local school 2-3 times a week at 5.30, and give them dinner at home. The children are 10 and 7 now, so are able to look after themselves mostly.
Some babysitting in addition will be available and weekend hours if the housekeeper is interested which will be paid as over time.
All laundry and ironing including sheets and shirts and some hand washing as needed. Bed linen changeover and keeping on top of used bathroom towels, facecloths and refreshing as needed.
All cleaning and management of kitchen including emptying of the bin and helping with recycling Housekeeping tasks like organising wardrobes and cupboards, keeping kitchen equipment and utility equipment clean and tidying up generally.
Cooking daily a family one pot healthy meal from recipe or by self if a competent cook.
It is essential all candidates have experience of cleaning and managing a large house. It is a large house with 6 bedrooms and other common rooms to clean and keep the property looking its best.
The ideal candidate will :
be a car owner/driver
Good references from previous families in a similar position.
DBS in place
Available for a quick start.
Live reasonably close to Guildford and be reliable and a good time keeper. Self motivated with good attention to detail
Needs to understand and speak English well and must be able to work independently needing minimal direction.
£12.00 net per hour
