Housekeeper – Amersham

Location: Amersham, Buckinghamshire
Days: 2 days per week
Hours: 5 hours per day
Salary: £18–£22 gross per hour

A lovely family in Amersham are looking for a reliable, proactive and experienced Housekeeper to join their beautiful five-bedroom home two days a week.

The family have two young boys, aged 4 and 2, who are both in nursery/school, so the focus of this role is very much on housekeeping and keeping the home running beautifully.

The family spend part of their time in London and also work remotely, so they are looking for someone who can become a trusted and consistent presence in the home.

The Role

The housekeeping duties will include:

• General cleaning and maintaining the home to a high standard
• Laundry and ironing
• Changing and making beds
• Keeping bedrooms and bathrooms beautifully presented
• General tidying and organising
• Noticing what needs doing and taking the initiative
• Keeping the household running smoothly
• Helping to maintain a calm, clean and organised home

There are no pets and the role does not involve childcare.

The Ideal Person

The family are looking for someone who is naturally proactive and organised — someone who doesn't need to be given a list every time they arrive, but notices what needs doing and simply gets on with it.

They would love someone who takes real pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys looking after a home. Most importantly, they are looking for someone who will become a trusted and valued part of the family household and build a lovely long-term relationship with them.

Two days per week, any days Monday–Friday, 5 hours per day.

£18–£22 gross per hour, depending on experience.
