Hummingbird Homestaff are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and family-friendly Housekeeper on behalf of a lovely family based in Newbury, Berkshire.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home and enjoys helping a busy household run smoothly. The family are looking for someone reliable, proactive, and trustworthy, with exceptionally high standards and a keen eye for detail.

The ideal candidate will enjoy creating organised, welcoming spaces and be happy working independently while becoming a valued support to the family.

Hours

• 8–10 hours per week
• Spread across 3 days
• 2 mornings and 1 afternoon
• Days and times can be flexible for the right candidate

Duties Include

• General housekeeping and cleaning to a high standard
• Laundry and ironing
• Wardrobe organisation and management
• Changing bed linen and towels
• Maintaining a tidy, organised, and well-presented home
• General household organisation and sorting
• Occasional meal preparation

• Previous housekeeping experience within a private household
• Excellent attention to detail
• Friendly, professional, and discreet
• Proactive and able to use their own initiative
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Excellent references

Salary

£18–£20 per hour, depending on experience.
