All Nannies registering with Hummingbird Nannies will need to have a current Enhanced DBS/CRB Certificate. If you do not have a Enhanced DBS/CRB Certificate then we can arrange this for you at registration. There is no extra charge to you via the Agency for this service however, the application for the DBS/CRB will be made during your registration interview.
The Enhanced DBS/CRB is a Police check performed by the Home Office to show that the named person is safe and allowed to work with children. The Enhanced DBS/CRB will show up any irregularities such as known or previous convictions or whether the named person is banned from working with children.
This is an essential check and required for all people that work with children.
The process from application to when you receive your Enhanced DBS/CRB can take six to eight weeks, but sometimes a little less, maybe three to four weeks.
