Housekeeper / Nanny – Lovely Family | Coulsdon, South London

£20 gross per hour | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 1pm–6pm | 15 hours per week

Hummingbird Homestaff is delighted to be recruiting for a warm, reliable and experienced Housekeeper/Nanny to join a lovely family in Coulsdon, South London.

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of housekeeping and childcare, with the afternoon split between looking after the home and caring for a lovely 6-year-old.

The Role

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
1.00pm–6.00pm
15 hours per week
£20 gross per hour
Coulsdon, South London

The role will be split into two parts:

1.00pm–4.00pm – Housekeeping

During the first part of the afternoon, you will have time to focus on the household, helping to keep the family home clean, organised and running smoothly.

Duties will include general cleaning, laundry, ironing, tidying and household organisation. The family are looking for someone who is naturally proactive and will notice what needs doing and simply get on with it.

4.00pm–6.00pm – Nanny

At 4pm, you will collect the family's 6-year-old child from school and bring them home.

You will then prepare their tea, provide a caring and engaging presence, help with homework or reading where needed and support them with their afternoon routine.

Your responsibilities will include:

General housekeeping and cleaning
Laundry and ironing
Keeping the home organised and tidy
School pick-up
Preparing and serving the child's tea
Homework and reading support
Playing and engaging with the child
Supporting the child's afternoon routine
Keeping the child's belongings and areas tidy
Providing a warm, caring and reliable presence
The Ideal Candidate

The family are looking for someone who is:

Warm, caring and genuinely enjoys working with children
Experienced in both housekeeping and childcare
Reliable, trustworthy and discreet
Proactive, organised and able to use their initiative
Happy working independently
Confident caring for a school-aged child
Someone who takes real pride in their housekeeping
Looking for a long-term position with a lovely family
Essential Requirements.

A full UK driving licence and your own car are absolutely essential for this position, as the role involves collecting the child from school.

The successful candidate must also:

Have a current DBS
Be able to provide excellent references
Have previous housekeeping and childcare experience
Be available to start no later than 10th September
