After-School Nanny – Lovely Family.

£18–£20 gross per hour | Monday, Thursday & Tuesday/Wednesday | 3.20pm–6.20pm | 9 hours per week

Hummingbird Homestaff is delighted to be recruiting for a warm, fun and creative After-School Nanny to join a lovely family in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

The family have two wonderful children aged 7 and 5, who are full of energy and love being creative, getting outdoors and keeping busy. They are looking for someone who will genuinely enjoy getting involved with the children and making their afternoons fun and engaging.

The Role

Monday – 3.20pm–6.20pm
Thursday – 3.20pm–6.20pm
Plus either Tuesday OR Wednesday – 3.20pm–6.20pm
9 hours per week
£18–£20 gross per hour
Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

The family can also offer an additional 4 hours of housekeeping/cleaning if the successful candidate would like to increase their weekly hours.

The Children

The children are aged 7 and 5 and are described as happy, energetic and fun-loving.

They enjoy:

• Arts and crafts
• Creative activities
• Playing outside and in the garden
• Swimming
• Piano club
• Getting out and about

Their school is just a 5-minute walk from the family home, and their piano club and swimming are also within walking distance, so a driving licence and car are not required for this role.

Your Afternoon

You will collect the children from school and help them settle into their afternoon.

Your responsibilities will include:

• School collection
• Preparing snacks and their evening meal
• Helping with homework and reading
• Organising fun and creative activities
• Arts and crafts
• Playing outdoors and making use of the garden
• Walking the children to piano club and swimming when required
• Supporting their evening routine
• Keeping their play areas and belongings tidy
• Providing a warm, caring and engaging presence

Optional Housekeeping Hours

For the right candidate, the family would also be happy to offer an additional 4 hours of housekeeping/cleaning per week.

This could include general cleaning, tidying, laundry and helping to keep the family home organised.

This is completely optional, but would be a lovely opportunity for someone looking to increase their weekly hours.

The Ideal Nanny

🐶 Family Dog

The family have an elderly dog, so the successful candidate must be comfortable and friendly around dogs.

There is no dog care required as part of the role.

Start Date

The family are ideally looking for someone to start at the beginning of November, although they would be happy to consider an earlier start for the right candidate.
