Hummingbird Homestaff is delighted to be recruiting for a warm, experienced and confident Full-Time Nanny to join a lovely family in Newbury, Berkshire.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced nanny looking for an immediate start and a full-time position through until December 2026.

The family have four lovely children aged 7, 6, 4 and 1, and are looking for someone who will become a trusted and valued part of their family life.

The nanny will have sole charge of the youngest child, aged 1, throughout the day, while also helping with the older children's school routines, activities and evening routine.

The role

Monday–Friday
7.00am–7.00pm
£18–£20 gross per hour
Full-time | Immediate start
Position until December 2026
Newbury, Berkshire

The mornings will involve helping the family get ready for the day, including getting the older children ready and driving them to school.

During the school day, the nanny will have sole charge of the 1-year-old, providing a fun, nurturing and stimulating day.

You'll be responsible for:

• Helping the children get ready in the mornings
• Driving the older children to school
• Caring for the 1-year-old in sole charge throughout the day
• Planning age-appropriate activities, outings and play
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks
• Collecting the children from school where required
• Preparing and cooking the children's tea
• Helping with homework and reading
• Supporting bath and evening routines
• Keeping the children's bedrooms, play areas and belongings organised
• Helping with the general running of the children's routines
• Being a supportive and helpful extra pair of hands for the parents
• Ensuring the children are happy, cared for and well organised throughout the day

The ideal nanny

The family are looking for someone who is:

• Warm, caring and nurturing
• Experienced with babies, toddlers and school-aged children
• Confident working in sole charge
• Proactive and able to use their initiative
• Organised, reliable and trustworthy
• Energetic and enjoys getting out and about with children
• Happy to become involved in all aspects of family life
• Confident managing multiple children and their different routines
• A good communicator with a calm and positive approach
• Looking for a full-time position until December 2026

A full UK driving licence and confidence driving children are essential for this role.
