Part-Time Housekeeper – 4–6 Hours Per Week

Hummingbird Homestaff is looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time Housekeeper to join a lovely, warm family home.

This is a small housekeeping position of 4–6 hours per week, ideally on one day of your choice. For the right candidate who lives very locally, the hours could potentially be split over two days.

The role

The family is looking for someone to provide regular help with:

• General household cleaning and tidying
• Laundry
• A small amount of ironing
• Occasional simple cooking
• Keeping the home organised and running smoothly

The family have children who are only at home during the school holidays, so there is the opportunity for additional hours during the school holidays and summer months if the successful candidate would like them.

Details

Hours: 4–6 hours per week
Days: One day of your choice, or potentially split over two days if very local
Pay: £18–£20 gross per hour, depending on experience
Start: Immediate
Location: Near Petworth, Sussex

The ideal candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in private housekeeping
• Reliable, trustworthy and hardworking
• Naturally organised and takes pride in their work
• Happy to help with laundry, ironing and occasional cooking
• Warm and friendly and comfortable working in a family home
• Able to work independently and use their initiative
• Ideally looking for a long-term position

This would suit someone looking for a small, regular housekeeping position with a lovely family, with the potential to increase hours during the school holidays.
