Hummingbird Homestaff is seeking an experienced, reliable and organised Live-In Housekeeper / Cook to join a private household in Richmond.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking and providing practical household support, with some additional personal assistance required. You will work alongside an established live-out carer to ensure the household runs smoothly.

The family is looking for someone professional, discreet and dependable who can become a trusted and valued member of the household.

The Role

Working hours: Monday–Friday, 7.15am–7pm, with a two-hour break during the day.

Your responsibilities will include preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for the household, walking the family dog and providing practical assistance as required.

You will also undertake housekeeping duties, including ironing, laundry, changing bed linen and towels, looking after clothing, and keeping designated areas of the home clean and organised.

At approximately 10pm, you will be required to return briefly to assist with repositioning in bed. This is expected to take around 15 minutes.

A cleaner attends the property five mornings a week, so the focus is on specific household duties rather than full general cleaning.

Essential Requirements

• Must be a confident cook and able to prepare fresh, home-cooked meals daily.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or private households.
• A caring, patient and respectful approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an established live-out carer.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Discretion, reliability and a professional attitude.

Salary & Accommodation

Location: Richmond, South West London
Salary: £700–£750 per week
Working days: Monday–Friday
Hours: 7.15am–7pm, with a two-hour break
Accommodation: Private, self-contained apartment with a sitting room/bedroom, separate kitchen and bathroom
Start date: As soon as possible

The successful candidate must be comfortable with the additional evening responsibility at approximately 10pm and understand that occasional further assistance may be required.
