During 2021, I was in desperate need of a trusted carer for my Aunt Edna. Her reluctance to receive care only added to the time pressure I faced whilst also working and with my own family, not to mention several hours of travel each way to help her. What I required was a professional, reliable carer that could cope with the personality of my difficult Aunt. She did not cope well with lateness, different faces coming in and in her mind, incompetence. The right carer would also be my eyes and ears and become a part of the family. I wanted to visit as her as family not just as a carer.
