Job Title: Experienced Housekeeper / PA – Private Country Residence
Location: Hill Brow, near Petworth, West Sussex
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday 9:00am – 5:00pm & Friday 9:00am – 1:00pm

The Role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly professional Housekeeper / PA to join a private household in a beautiful rural setting near Petworth, West Sussex.

This role involves managing the day-to-day upkeep and organisation of a substantial 7-bedroom residence to a high standard, alongside providing discreet and efficient personal assistant support to ensure the smooth running of the household.

The family have two teenage children and two cats; however, this is not a childcare role and will suit a candidate who is confident taking full ownership of housekeeping and household management.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining the home to an impeccable standard throughout
• Full laundry care, including garment care and wardrobe organisation
• Bed making, linen changes, and household presentation
• Ensuring all rooms are consistently clean, tidy, and well-organised
• Managing household supplies and maintaining stock levels

Household & PA Support:

• Managing deliveries, contractors, and tradespeople
• Running errands (shopping, dry cleaning, post, etc.)
• Overseeing the general organisation and efficiency of the household
• Providing light PA support as required

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience in a similar private household role
• High standards with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional at all times
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Comfortable working in a rural location
• Driver preferred due to location
