About the Role

A welcoming and busy family in Aylesbury is looking for a capable and experienced live-out couple to manage the care and upkeep of both their home and garden. This part-time, long-term position offers a flexible schedule — typically spread across two full days and one half day per week — allowing for two free weekdays.

One partner will take on the housekeeping responsibilities inside the home, while the other will oversee the gardening and general maintenance of the grounds.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeper (Indoors):

• Daily and weekly cleaning of all rooms

• Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management

• Changing beds and conducting deep cleans of bathrooms and kitchen

• Light household organisation and occasional errands

• Grocery ordering and accepting deliveries (optional)

Gardener / Maintenance (Outdoors):

• Routine garden care (mowing, weeding, pruning, hedge trimming)

• Planting, seasonal beds, and upkeep of veg patch/greenhouse (if applicable)

• Patio and driveway power-washing, leaf clearance

• Minor DIY tasks: painting, small repairs, replacing bulbs and fuses

• Rubbish/recycling management and liaising with external tradespeople

Both partners:

• Keep household supplies stocked

• Ensure the property is clean, safe, and welcoming

• Report and respond to any issues proactively

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in similar private household roles

• Trustworthy, discreet, and professional, with excellent references

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

• Good time management and self-motivation

• Strong gardening and/or basic maintenance skills (for outdoor partner)

• Right to work in the UK; driving licences preferred
